The multi-tasker's home office - S34
When Jacob needed a home office, a pitched roof house from Enkelrum was an easy choice. For a self-employed occupational therapist, an S34 allowed enough space for a desk, storage, exercise equipment, reception room and toilet. This Enkelrum can also act as a guesthouse when needed, and in the long run a retreat for the younger members of the family.
The Carendi family found their dream plot on an (until recently) unexploited island in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago. The only thing missing was an affordable house. Something that was easily solved with the introduction of two houses from Enkelrum. To accommodate the whole family, Isabel and Anders decided on one Fritidshus and an Attefallshus, linked together by an inviting wooden deck placed between the rocky hills.
This family latched on to the idea of a loft Enkelrum with windows placed on the gable. The resulting guest house was finished complete with bathroom, sleeping loft and stunning sea views. To ensure their Enkelrum fit with the existing house, the exterior was fit with a custom painted panel to match the family’s chosen color and clad with hand-picked alu-zinc roof.
For this plot, located in the forests of Västgötland, the family chose an Enkelrum that is in the spirit of nature. With the exterior panelling in Siberian larch, windows in the special design furulasyr and interior clad in plywood, the family poured individual touches into their holiday home. The Enkelrum houses bathrooms, kitchens and sleeping places enough for the whole family.
Combining a guest house with a sauna in Finland is rather the rule than the exception and, according to Marjut, everyone in Finland buys a sauna before buying a residential building. That’s the Finnish way. The inauguration of the sauna house Enkelrum on Öland took place in the summer of 2018 when Marjut’s brother and sister-in-law from Finland came and visited.
15 years ago, Stina Wallenbeck and her family started a muesli business in their home kitchen. Now, the family have their own production kitchen on site – an Attefallshus in Varberg – where she produces 2,500 kg of muesli every year giving a turnover of half a million.
Anne-Li created her ideal destination for creativity, painting and contemplation with the red Attefallshus with loft in Värmdö. It’s the studio retreat she always dreamed of. ‘Everyone should have such a place, it is so incredibly worthwhile to have your own space, no matter why you want to get away,’ she says.

This pool house from Enkelrum was adapted to include a double door in the front, and extra windows in the back–framing the fantastic sea views. In addition to the changing rooms and relaxation space, the pool house has a sauna area where the owners can sit, philosophize and watch the sailboats slip by in the bay below.
Anna has been in her sewing studio for over 4 years now. With an easy 8 yards across the lawn from her home to the workshop, she’s pleased that no ideas get lost in transit. One autumn day, the E15 arrived and was lifted into place with a mobile crane. The next week, it was decorated and a few days later Kristina moved in. She thinks it’s fantastically nice to get away from the house and be able to go into her own office where everything has its place. When the day is over she locks up and goes ‘home’.
Housing development company, Bonava, were looking for an inviting display booth for meetings with consumers and investors. It needed to be placed at their various construction sites and move around with them project to project. As a marketing solution, the Enkelrum was painted in Bonava’s brand colors. A unique lifting mechanism was developed and fitted to to the Enkelrum so that manouvering Bonava’s Enkelrum in the future would remain to be a breeze.
Just before Christmas, almost three years ago, Rickard’s sauna house arrived. He chose a finished sauna package from Enkelrum with quality Exacta products, and made the house his own with extra glass doors in the front. A single door to the sauna for quick dips during cold seasons, and a double door to the relaxation area so they can be opened up on hot summer evenings.
