Studios are the smallest Enkelrum, measuring 10-15 sqm. They’re best used for your future studio, office, sauna house or pool house. These simple buildings are the quickest to build and deliver, plus they are purposely designed for people who need some extra space. Some say the Studios the easiest of all Enkelrum… but we’re not ones to judge.
10 sqm Studio - E10
10 sqm Studio - E10 is the original Enkelrum and is the simplest of all houses in the land of little.
15 sqm Garden Studio - E15
E15 is a slightly larger version of the original E10 model, giving you more space to do what you love.

Enkel-fact: Friggebo was the Swedish Minister for Housing in 1979, this is when building laws were updated, allowing home owners to build a second house of up to 15 sqm on their property without planning permission. As for bod? That means shed.

Nej, du behöver normalt inte söka bygglov för att sätta upp en friggebod på din tomt. Friggeboden är en bygglovsbefriad komplementbyggnad, vilket betyder att den är ett komplement till ett befintligt bostadshus eller fritidshus, och den behöver uppfylla kriterierna för friggebod, exempelvis gällande storlek och placering. I undantagsfall kan kommuner i detaljplan eller områdesbestämmelser, ha bestämt att bygglov ska krävas för en friggebod i det specifika området. Around 6-8 weeks from order date to delivery. But sometimes we’re the hottest thing since sliced bread, which means our diary (and workshop) can get full, quick! Get in contact for a current time estimate.

Ja, alla friggebodar från Enkelrum är vinterbonade. Vi bygger med välisolerade treglasfönster i trä från Svenska Fönster, 95 mm väggreglar och 170 mm tak- och golvreglar med stenull som ger en ordentlig isolering för ytan. Friggeboden går lika snabbt att värma upp på vintern, som att kyla ner på sommaren.

The multi-tasker's home office - S34
When Jacob needed a home office, a pitched roof house from Enkelrum was an easy choice. For a self-employed occupational therapist, an S34 allowed enough space for a desk, storage, exercise equipment, reception room and toilet. This Enkelrum can also act as a guesthouse when needed, and in the long run a retreat for the younger members of the family.
The archipelago split family house - E34
The Carendi family found their dream plot on an (until recently) unexploited island in the middle of the Stockholm archipelago. The only thing missing was an affordable house. Something that was easily solved with the introduction of two houses from Enkelrum. To accommodate the whole family, Isabel and Anders decided on one Fritidshus and an Attefallshus, linked together by an inviting wooden deck placed between the rocky hills.
Loft house with views - S25
This family latched on to the idea of a loft Enkelrum with windows placed on the gable. The resulting guest house was finished complete with bathroom, sleeping loft and stunning sea views. To ensure their Enkelrum fit with the existing house, the exterior was fit with a custom painted panel to match the family’s chosen color and clad with hand-picked alu-zinc roof.
The family and the open-air house - E34
For this plot, located in the forests of Västgötland, the family chose an Enkelrum that is in the spirit of nature. With the exterior panelling in Siberian larch, windows in the special design furulasyr and interior clad in plywood, the family poured individual touches into their holiday home. The Enkelrum houses bathrooms, kitchens and sleeping places enough for the whole family.
Sauna house, in the Finnish way – E34
Combining a guest house with a sauna in Finland is rather the rule than the exception and, according to Marjut, everyone in Finland buys a sauna before buying a residential building. That’s the Finnish way. The inauguration of the sauna house Enkelrum on Öland took place in the summer of 2018 when Marjut’s brother and sister-in-law from Finland came and visited.
Stina’s muesli house – E25
15 years ago, Stina Wallenbeck and her family started a muesli business in their home kitchen. Now, the family have their own production kitchen on site – an Attefallshus in Varberg – where she produces 2,500 kg of muesli every year giving a turnover of half a million.
Anne-Li and the studio - E25 Loft
Anne-Li created her ideal destination for creativity, painting and contemplation with the red Attefallshus with loft in Värmdö. It’s the studio retreat she always dreamed of. ‘Everyone should have such a place, it is so incredibly worthwhile to have your own space, no matter why you want to get away,’ she says.

Pool house with sea views – E20
This pool house from Enkelrum was adapted to include a double door in the front, and extra windows in the back–framing the fantastic sea views. In addition to the changing rooms and relaxation space, the pool house has a sauna area where the owners can sit, philosophize and watch the sailboats slip by in the bay below.
Anna’s sewing studio – E15G
Anna has been in her sewing studio for over 4 years now. With an easy 8 yards across the lawn from her home to the workshop, she’s pleased that no ideas get lost in transit. When genius strikes, the mannequin is waiting in her Enkelrum, ready to help her test. There’s no time to lose when you’re that creative.
Kristina’s office - E15
One autumn day, the E15 arrived and was lifted into place with a mobile crane. The next week, it was decorated and a few days later Kristina moved in. She thinks it’s fantastically nice to get away from the house and be able to go into her own office where everything has its place. When the day is over she locks up and goes ‘home’.
On-site display booth for Bonava - E15
Housing development company, Bonava, were looking for an inviting display booth for meetings with consumers and investors. It needed to be placed at their various construction sites and move around with them project to project. As a marketing solution, the Enkelrum was painted in Bonava’s brand colors. A unique lifting mechanism was developed and fitted to to the Enkelrum so that manouvering Bonava’s Enkelrum in the future would remain to be a breeze.
Sauna house by the water – E15
Just before Christmas, almost three years ago, Rickard’s sauna house arrived. He chose a finished sauna package from Enkelrum with quality Exacta products, and made the house his own with extra glass doors in the front. A single door to the sauna for quick dips during cold seasons, and a double door to the relaxation area so they can be opened up on hot summer evenings.
Björn and the writing cabin - E10
Norwegian author, Björn, got lost on travel routes in bad weather. To change his luck, he decided to build himself an E10 in his garden. This writers nook traveled turnkey on a trailer from Gothenburg to the northernmost Stavanger…
